We dont want to scare you, but this is a totally unregulated business, you dont need to sit and pass exams to set up a letting agency, nor do you need to be registered with an accredited trade association.  In fact anyone who pays for the relevant insurance can set up as a letting agency, without having any idea of what they are doing.  Thats a pretty shocking thought, bearing in mind the probable value of your investment.  So to reassure you, we've been in this profession since the 1990s, are members of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), hold Client Money Protection, for your protection, and are professionally qualified to work as a letting agent, with Cathy Provenzano holding The Diploma in Residential Letting and Management run by the Letting Training Centre, who are an Edexcel accredited examination body, ARLAs Technical Award.
